PSA: That quick-set adhesive failed me big time on a laminate job

I trusted a new fast-drying glue for a laminate floor install yesterday. It set up way too fast before I could adjust the planks. Now several boards are crooked and lifting at the seams. I have to pull them up and scrape off the hardened adhesive. Don't make my mistake, test these products on a small area first.

It's crazy how often 'fast' versions of things end up causing more work. I've seen it with instant concrete mix that sets before you can level it, similar to your glue issue. Do you think companies overpromise on drying times to sell more product?
