Just realized my weirdest client request came from a guy in Boise who insisted I install his vinyl plank flooring with every third row upside down for 'visual texture'.

He was dead serious and offered an extra $500 if I could make the locking system work that way, which of course it can't, and I spent 20 minutes trying to explain basic flooring mechanics to him in a Home Depot parking lot last spring.

Oh man, I tried once and it went so bad. I offered like twenty bucks less and the guy just stared at me like I kicked his dog. Ended up paying full price and feeling like a total jerk the whole time lol.
