Had a client in Everett ask for a full glue-down on a concrete slab that was still sweating

It was a big commercial job last spring, and the moisture meter was reading 8 pounds. I told them we had to wait, but they pushed hard for us to start. We did a small test patch anyway, and within two days the adhesive failed and the planks bubbled. That cost us three days of labor to pull it all up and dry the slab properly. Now I show clients the meter reading and refuse to budge, no matter the pressure. How do you guys handle a pushy client when you know the prep isn't right?

Yeah, like what @lewis.terry read, you gotta stick to your guns.

Man, I read a horror story just like that in a trade magazine last month.

What, you read that too? I swear, every time I see one of those stories I get a cold sweat. Last week I almost backed out of a deal because it sounded exactly like the one where the guy got locked into a five year service contract for a broken printer. My own imagination is my worst enemy sometimes.
