Warning: My $80 hoof knife sharpener was a total game changer
I was spending way too much time on a stone, but this thing gets a perfect edge in under a minute. Anyone have a different sharpening method they swear by?

Perfect edge in under a minute" sounds like a sales pitch. I've seen those quick sharpeners ruin good blades by taking off too much metal or creating a weak, brittle edge. My old timer showed me how to use a basic oilstone, and the control you get is everything. It takes longer, but you learn the blade and the edge lasts. Why rush a skill that should last a lifetime?
