Six months ago our grocery bill was $1,200 a month. Now it's under $800. The only thing we changed was planning meals on Sunday.

That's a huge drop, over four hundred bucks just from planning?

Honestly it's crazy how much random spending adds up without a plan. You go for one thing and come out with ten bags of stuff you didn't need. That four hundred bucks is probably just all the extra snacks, last minute takeout, and stuff that goes bad in the fridge. Planning forces you to actually look at what you have and what you'll use. It cuts out all that background waste we don't even notice.

Gotta admit thats more on impulse buying than just not planning ahead.

Planning meals saved you four hundred a month? What were you buying before, gold-plated steaks?
