My six year old nephew asked me why we call it a 'driveway' when we park there

We were in his driveway in Tempe, getting his bike, and he just hit me with that. I said it's where you drive in, but he said, 'No, you park. The road is for driving.' I had to stop and just laugh because he's right. It's one of those things you never question until a kid points it out. What other everyday words fall apart if you really look at them?

Kids notice funny stuff, but does language need to make perfect sense?

Honestly, my niece asked why it's a "restroom" when you don't sleep there. Kids really make you see how weird language is.

That's a great point from your niece. Makes you wonder who decided on that word in the first place. Was it just a polite lie that stuck around? What other common words are total nonsense if you think about them too hard.
