Is boredom from quiet days really worse than dealing with crises? Hard to buy that unless the work is pointless.

That fitness tracker band cracking after a week... I saw a photo where it was completely split open. How is that even possible from normal use? The ad made it look like you could run a marathon with it. My cousin bought one and the same thing happened after two days. They really don't show that in the shiny commercials... it's always perfect wrists and sunny days.

That's a fair point for adults, but the post is about little kids. There's a big difference between a tablet being the only thing that holds a child's attention and an adult using Facebook to plan a fishing trip. One replaces all other play, the other just moves the chat online.
