Appreciation post: My old boss in Tampa showed me how to use a $40 fish tape puller instead of just shoving wire by hand, and it cut my time on a 50-foot basement run from 45 minutes to maybe 10.
What other simple tools have you guys found that made a huge difference on jobs you used to hate?

Always thought a good pair of linesman pliers was just hype until I had to do a real service change.

Wait, you were doing service changes without good linesman pliers? @robert_scott57, that sounds like a nightmare. I can't even imagine trying to cut and twist that heavy cable with a cheap pair. My hands hurt just thinking about it. Good tools aren't just hype, they save your body from so much extra strain. It's wild you managed before.

Mary's right about the hand strain, cheap pliers just don't grip right on that thick cable. You end up squeezing twice as hard and still getting a bad cut. A decent pair makes the whole job feel smoother and way less tiring.
