Old timer on a job in Austin told me to pre-fill my screw gun with 50 screws at a time.
I blew it off for months, tried it on a 1500 square foot ceiling last week, and cut my drilling time by almost half, has anyone else found a weird little trick that actually speeds things up that much?

A buddy of mine used to hang cabinets and he swore by keeping his drill bits in a magnetic bar on his belt loop. Said he wasted more time digging through a pouch for the right one than actually drilling. He tried it and it saved him a good ten minutes per job, which adds up over a week. Little things like that really do make a difference once you get used to them.

Had a similar setup with my screwdriver bits for a while, @paige331. Stuck a magnetic strip on the side of my workbench instead of my belt since I couldn't get used to the extra weight on my hip. Saved me from dumping out a whole pouch looking for a #2 square bit. That ten minutes adds up fast when you're doing multiple rooms in a day. Never went back to the pouch method after that first week.

Does that magnetic strip hold up okay with heavy bits or do they slide off?
