I once wanted to be a professional whistler

About 8 years ago, I spent a whole week trying to learn how to whistle the theme from 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'. I practiced in my car, in the shower, you name it. My neighbor finally yelled, 'Are you trying to call a dog or summon a ghost?' That was the end of my musical whistling career. Anyone else have a weird talent they tried and failed to master?

That's actually the theme from 'For a Few Dollars More'. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly has a different, longer tune with that famous "wah-wah-wah" part. I only know this because I made the same mistake trying to learn it. It's a common mix-up. The second movie's theme is way more whistle-friendly. Maybe your neighbor would have had a better reaction to the right song.

Wait, @west.richard, are you sure you're not thinking of the theme from "A Fistful of Dollars"? That one's the easiest to whistle by far.
