Update: I finally stopped trying to read dream text

For years, if a book or sign showed up in a dream, I'd strain to read it, which always made the words swirl and change. My friend Gina, who studies this stuff, told me to just accept the text as a 'feeling' instead, and it worked immediately. Has anyone else found a trick that makes their dream world less frustrating?

My cousin Mark actually trained himself to read dream text by focusing harder. He says the swirling stops if you don't give up. Sometimes you just need more practice, not a new method.

Man, I tried the focus harder method once. Woke up with a headache that felt like I'd been cramming for a dream SAT. The book was just a cookbook, and I spent what felt like hours trying to make the recipe for 'blurple soup' stay still. My brain was just not having it.

Honestly, how many dreams did it take Mark to get good at that? Tbh I tried the focus thing too but the words kept melting into shapes. Felt like my brain was just trolling me with nonsense recipes.
