Serious question, did a ferry repair job change how you pack tools?
Honestly, I used to haul a huge toolbox for every diesel fix. Tbh, after struggling with space on a boat in rough water, I saw that a small, smart kit works better. Ngl, it totally shifted my approach.

Pick multi-use tools that can handle a few different jobs. Saves a crazy amount of space and weight.

Agreed, you always have the right tool on a trip. That logic totally makes sense.

It's like packing for a trip, you only keep what you actually use. My closet is full of stuff I thought I needed but never wear. The real test is if you reach for it without thinking twice.

Wonder how you decide what stays in the kit for good. Like when you cut down to a small set, what's the actual test for a tool to make the cut, do you just go by what broke most often on the job?
