Had a customer tell me my menu font looked like a ransom note...

Old lady said it reminded her of her grandkid's art project, so I switched to a plain serif font and suddenly my breakfast rush doubled. Has anyone else gotten weird feedback that actually fixed something?

Traded my curly cursive for a Helvetica knockoff and watched ticket times drop by half. Took me two years to realize people don't want to decode their breakfast.

Oh man, a friend of mine switched her menu from that fancy script font to just plain Arial and said people stopped asking "what's this?" so much... it's wild what a difference it makes.

Isn't it funny how so much of "good design" is really just about not making people work so hard? I feel like that applies to so much more than menus too, like signs in stores or even how people write emails.
