Update: Sorting a single drawer of old cables and adapters took me nearly 4 hours yesterday.

I kept finding more tangled behind others and had to test each one to see if it even worked for stuff I still own, so what's your best tip for dealing with the 'electronic junk drawer' without it eating a whole day?

Ugh, just throw the whole drawer out and start fresh.

My junk drawer was a total disaster last month. I took everything out and sorted it into three piles: keep, trash, and donate. I found three dead pens, a bunch of old receipts, and a key I haven't seen in years. Putting back only the useful stuff made it feel like a new drawer.

Hold up, you sorted a junk drawer into three piles? That's some next-level organization for a place meant to hold random crap. I just shove things in there until it won't close. Finding that key is a win, though.
