Picked the wrong checkout line at Target today and it actually worked out

I had to choose between a line with one person who had a full cart or another with four people holding just a few things. Went with the long cart because the cashier looked experienced. Turned out the guy had a price check that took 10 minutes but the other line got held up by a gift card issue. Funny how the choice that seemed bad saved me 5 minutes.

Ngl that's the most relatable thing I've ever read. I did the same thing at the grocery store last week where I picked a line with some guy who looked like he was just buying snacks. Turned out he had this whole coupon thing he had to sort out and it took forever. Meanwhile the other line with the old lady and her cart moved super fast because she was just paying with cash. Made me rethink my whole line picking strategy but hey sometimes the bad choices end up being the good ones.

Ever think about how the old folks just know something we don't? Like they've been doing this so long they've got the whole system figured out. They probably see us stressing over lines and just chuckle to themselves. Makes me wonder if there's a secret code or something that only seniors have cracked.

Wait @phoenixw11, did you ever think the old people lines were the slow ones too? I used to avoid them like the plague until I watched a grandma zip through with exact change while I was stuck behind some guy arguing about a price check. Totally flipped my thinking on which lines are actually faster.
