That $400 chair at the salon broke my back after 3 months

Last week my chiropractor straight up told me I need to stop using that fancy hydraulic salon chair I bought and switch to a saddle stool after 3 months of back pain. She showed me how my hips were tilted forward constantly which was causing all this tension in my lower back during 8 hour shifts. Has anyone else had to switch their seating setup midway through their career?

Honestly I saw a review somewhere that said a lot of those cheaper "gaming" chairs use really thin foam that breaks down fast. Like you're basically sitting on a plywood board after a few months. It's wild that they can charge $400 and it still falls apart that quick.

Did you try flipping it upside down and using it as a torture device instead?
