My cordless clipper battery swelled up and almost caught fire mid-fade yesterday
I was finishing a skin fade on a regular client when my main clippers, a set I've had for about 2 years, got super hot and started smoking from the battery compartment, forcing me to grab my old corded backups to finish the cut.

That sounds absolutely terrifying, especially with a client in the chair. Good thinking to have those corded backups ready to go. Battery swelling is no joke, it's lucky it didn't actually ignite. Time for a scary trip to the electronics recycling bin, I guess.

My backup plan is basically just panic and a fire extinguisher.
