A talk with my uncle about moving to Denver or staying home
After college, I had to pick between a job offer in Denver or staying in my small town to help with the family business. My uncle sat me down and said, "You can always come back, but you can't always go." I took the Denver job and it was tough at first, living alone for the first time. But I met my partner there and learned skills I never would have at home. Has anyone else made a big move based on one piece of advice?

Your uncle gave you a one-way ticket to growth.

Yeah, my uncle gave me a one-way ticket, all right. Straight to the job at his failing print shop. My growth was mostly just moving heavy boxes of paper until my back gave out. It taught me a lot about commitment, like committing to never working for family again. Real "pick a path and go all in" energy, right into a dead end.

That advice works because it's about keeping your options open.

Keeping options open can just mean you're scared to commit, @wadew51. Sometimes you gotta pick a path and go all in.
