Switched from cloud takeoff software to a $30 scale ruler on one job and the cloud one missed 11 studs
Had a 900 sq ft addition in Bend last fall. Ran the plans through the fancy cloud takeoff tool first, it flagged 42 studs. Did the same set by hand off the printed sheets with a scale ruler, counted 53. Went out and counted the actual framing on site as we built, 53 was right. The cloud tool was guessing off line weights I guess. Anyone else had a paid tool miss that bad, or did I set something up wrong?
