I walked past a new condo building in Denver and saw the 'luxury' sign next to a huge pile of trash.
It made me realize I've been telling myself that expensive places are always better kept, but the evidence was right there on the sidewalk. Has anyone else had a simple sight like that shake a belief you didn't even know you held?

Saw a "gourmet" food truck last week charging twenty bucks for a soggy grilled cheese. The whole fancy label thing is just paint over the same old problems. Makes you question what you're really paying for anywhere.

Honestly @quinna89, I get where you're coming from, but that just sounds like a bad truck. Tbh I've had some amazing meals from places calling themselves gourmet, stuff I couldn't make at home. The label can mean better ingredients and someone who actually knows how to cook. You're paying for that skill and the good stuff, not just a name. It sucks you got a bad one though, that's just a rip-off.

Yeah @grays13, "better ingredients" clearly means the most expensive soggy bread they could find.
