Watch the beans at the Denver farmers market cart, they went stale fast
I grabbed a half pound from that new cart near the south entrance last Saturday, the one with the hand written sign. By Tuesday the bag had almost no smell and the pour over came out flat, like water with brown color. I checked the roast date sticker and it was 11 days prior, plus they left the bin open in the sun. Anyone else had quick staling from a market setup, or is this just me being picky about freshness?

That white sticker said roasted 11 days ago, or the bag?

Did you happen to ask them what day they roasted it before you bought? Because if they were selling beans that were already 11 days old, that's not really a staling issue from the cart, that's just old stock. I've seen some market vendors bring out bags that have been sitting in their garage for weeks, and the sun and open bin just make it worse. Curious if the roast date was printed on the actual bag or if it was one of those little white stickers they slap on there themselves.
