Switched from car covers to a climate-controlled unit last winter

I used to just throw a dust cover on my '65 Mustang and park it in my brother's barn (big mistake). After finding surface rust on the valve covers in March I rented a 10x20 space at Stor-Mor in Cleveland for $180 a month. The difference is night and day - no more worrying about humidity swings or mice getting into the upholstery. Has anyone else had luck with the little dehumidifier buckets or is that overkill?

Honestly those dehumidifier buckets saved my upholstery last winter, nobody talks about how bad the air in a heated barn really is.

Four buckets in my tack room @sean_cooper58, changed the leather game completely.

Respectfully disagree with this one. I ran dehumidifier buckets in my barn for two seasons and ended up with cracked leather anyway because the temp swings did more damage than the humidity ever did. A good oil treatment twice a winter has kept my tack way more solid than any moisture-sucking gadget ever managed.
