Spent $200 on a 'smart' water bottle that tracks hydration
It broke after 3 months and I just use a regular Nalgene now. Anyone have a durable bottle that actually lasts?

Got a Yeti rambler that's been through hell for years now. Those smart bottles feel like solving a problem that never existed. Paying extra for something to tell you to drink water is wild when a regular bottle works fine. The tech just adds more points of failure, like you found out. Sometimes the simplest gear is the toughest.

Honestly, what's wrong with wanting the extra help to build a habit? I got one as a gift and it actually got me drinking enough water for the first time ever. The app reminders were the nudge I needed. Sure, a regular bottle is fine if you already remember, but some of us need that extra push. It's a bummer yours broke, but that doesn't mean the whole idea is bad.

Wait, you spent two hundred dollars on a water bottle? That's a whole new level. Wade's right about adding points of failure for no good reason. My ten dollar bottle from years ago is still going strong.
