Had to shim a wobbly table leg with a stack of business cards from a pizza place

Client was furious about a wobble on a finished oak table, and my shims were back at the shop. Grabbed a handful of 'Mario's Pizza' cards from my truck, folded them tight, and tapped them under the foot. Worked perfectly, and the client just laughed and asked for a menu. Ever used something totally weird as a last-minute fix?

Read an article where a museum used old sugar packets to prop up a wobbly display case. Seems like the best fixes are always the weird ones you'd never plan for.

That's a classic move, @milesk27. I've used folded-up pizza box cardboard for the same job. Sometimes you just gotta work with what's on hand.
