Hot take: That celebrity chef who got canceled for yelling at staff got off way too easy
I worked in a kitchen for 2 years in Chicago and the difference between a boss who respects you and one who screams is the difference between a good shift and wanting to quit on the spot. Has anyone here actually worked for someone who got canceled and saw it play out different than the news reported?

Man, those tapes never tell the whole story of what was happening behind the scenes.

Did you ever catch that interview where someone from the crew talked about all the off-camera stuff? I read a blog post that made it sound pretty messy behind the scenes, way more than what those tapes showed.

Yeah @west.richard I actually tracked down a PA who worked on that season and he told me the crew basically ran on no sleep for days at a time because the producers kept changing the schedule last minute. He said the main drama was between the cameramen and the sound guys, they had this ongoing feud over who had to carry the heaviest gear up the mountain. Honestly if you ever want to avoid that kind of mess, just get a written agreement on hours and overtime before you start any project, it saves a ton of headaches.
