Bought into the hype about those fancy sous vide machines and thought it was just another kitchen gadget waste.
After cooking a steak that came out perfectly medium rare edge to edge with zero guesswork on my first try, I finally admitted the thing actually works and now it sits on my counter full time, anyone else have a gadget they rolled their eyes at that turned out legit?

Nah, it's just another overpriced counter hog for people who can't use a pan.

Forget that. Plenty of folks don't have the arm strength or time to whisk eggs for ten minutes straight, and this thing turns out perfect scrambled eggs every time without the mess.

My buddy got one of those egg cookers last year, ended up using it twice and now it's just sitting in his cabinet collecting dust... I told him to try putting a little butter in the microwave with his eggs for 45 seconds, way less cleanup and no extra appliance needed. Honestly, if you can't scramble eggs in a pan after a few tries, you're probably rushing the heat or not using enough oil. It's fine for some people but it's not the life changer everyone makes it out to be.
