I just hit 100 nights in my old tent and it's still holding up
I got this basic two-person dome tent back in 2018 for a trip to the Sawtooths, and I've used it everywhere since. I was cleaning it last week and counted the trips in my journal, and it's been out for exactly 100 nights. For a tent that cost under $100, I'm shocked the zippers and seams are still perfect. Has anyone else had a cheap piece of gear last way longer than you expected?

My 2015 Ozark Trail sleeping bag has seen over 150 nights and it's still my go-to for car camping. I got it for maybe thirty bucks at a Walmart before a last-minute trip. The thing is pilled and flat in spots, but it hasn't lost its loft or developed any cold spots. I keep waiting for it to die so I can justify buying a fancy one, but it just won't quit.

That "waiting for it to die so I can justify buying a fancy one" is so real. What's the lowest temp you've actually pushed that bag to, and did it hold up okay or were you just toughing it out?

Ever have a cheap tent fail on you early? I've had zippers go bad and seams leak after way less use than that.
