Spilled ink all over my weekly spread at a coffee shop in Portland last Saturday

Honestly, I was at this place called Deadstock Coffee and had my whole November layout done with a new Sakura Pigma Micron pen. I went to grab my phone and knocked over the latte, which immediately dumped onto the notebook. Took me 15 minutes with napkins to blot it dry but lost 4 days of tracking completely. Has anyone else had a drink disaster ruin their habit tracker mid-month?

Oh man, that is a total gut punch and I feel your pain so hard. I had a similar thing happen with a cup of black coffee at a diner in Austin and it completely obliterated my entire weekly habit tracker, I was so angry I just sat there staring at the brown smear for a full minute. It took me forever to clean it up too, and the ink was so wet that the pages got all crinkly and I had to redo the whole week from memory and just hope I didn't miss a day of flossing.

Ngl @charlescraig I used to think coffee spills were no big deal but this story totally changed my mind.

Whoa, I haven't seen anyone mention this yet but maybe the ink from the Micron pen actually worked in your favor here. Those pens are waterproof and archival grade right? So if the pages got wet and the ink stayed put, you might still be able to scan or photo the pages under a certain light and recover some of the tracking. I'd try holding it up to a window or using a desk lamp at a low angle to see if the faint lines are still there underneath the coffee stain. Also, have you tried the freeze trick where you put the notebook in the freezer to pull moisture out of the paper fibers before it sets?
