Question about switching from daily to weekly spreads
I used to set up bullet journal spreads every single day for 3 years straight. It felt productive at the time, but I realized I was spending 20 minutes each morning just writing the date and tasks. Last month I switched to weekly spreads instead and now I only update my journal on Sunday evenings. Has anyone else found that less frequent setup actually helps them stay more consistent long term?

Hang on, 20 minutes seems a bit much for just writing the date and tasks.

Blame the human brain for getting distracted by shiny things. Once you treat every day like a fresh start, you naturally spend more time setting up than actually doing anything. It's the same reason people buy new notebooks every January instead of finishing the old one. We crave the feeling of starting over, even if it wastes ten minutes doodling the date in bubble letters.

Yeah I did the exact same thing and weekly spreads saved my consistency too. The time you save not rewriting the same headers every single morning adds up fast. Stopping yourself from treating your journal like a daily chore is honestly the best move for keeping it going long term.
