Our book club spent 40 minutes arguing about the wine before anyone mentioned chapter 3
Last Tuesday at Diane's place on Maple Street, we were supposed to talk about the second half of that Civil War novel, but somehow the whole meeting turned into a fight about whether the $12 bottle she poured was better than the $9 one Karen brought. Denise got so worked up she pulled up a wine rating app on her phone, and by the time anyone remembered the book existed, it was 9:15 and half of us hadn't finished the reading anyway. We ended up voting 6 to 4 to just pick a shorter book for June, but honestly I think we were voting on the wine. Does your group actually talk about the books, or do you all just show up for the snacks and chaos like ours?
