My audiobook take flopped at book club, now I get the paper purists
I spent 3 months arguing that audiobooks count as reading, then my club did a listen vs print debate and someone pointed out we skip huge chunks in audio without noticing. Switched to a physical copy of the last pick and caught a subplot I totally missed. Anyone else had a format opinion get flipped after actually trying the other side?

Three months is a long time to argue about something that literally just comes down to how your brain works. I mean, yeah, audio skips stuff sometimes, but so does zoning out on page 47 of a print book, nobody's keeping score on that.

You ever try reading the same page three times and still not remember what it said, then just give up and flip ahead like it never happened? Yeah that's basically audiobooks at 1.5x speed for me, I don't get the beef either.
