That time a guy tried to buy my anvil at a gas station

I was driving back from a demo in Springfield last fall, my truck bed full of gear, including my 150 pound Peter Wright anvil strapped down. I stopped for gas off I-44, and this older guy in a cowboy hat just stared at it from the next pump. He walked over, tapped it with his knuckle, and said, 'Son, I'll give you three hundred cash for that right now.' I laughed and said it wasn't for sale, it was my main work tool. He got real serious, leaned in, and whispered, 'I need a good doorstop for my barn, and that looks heavy enough to stop a bull.' I had to explain it was for forging steel, not holding doors, for a solid five minutes before he finally shrugged and walked off. Has anyone else had someone totally miss the point of a piece of your gear in a weird place?

Imagine him trying to forge a horseshoe with it.

He'd probably just burn the barn down.
