I tried a 10mm hex key on a seized bottom bracket cup and it actually worked better than the proper tool.

The splines on the Park Tool BBT-22 were starting to round out, so I grabbed a cheap hex key from the drawer, hammered it into the cup's pin holes, and it broke free on the first try without damaging the frame.

Honestly that reminds me of getting a stripped pedal out with a big pair of vise-grips. Just clamped it on the spindle and leaned on it till it screamed loose.

My buddy had the same thing happen with a stuck freewheel. He jammed a big flathead screwdriver into the notches and whacked it with a mallet. Came right off when the real tool just slipped. Sometimes the simple fix is the best one.

My old Schwinn's crank bolt was so stuck I had to use a 3-foot pipe on the wrench. Honestly thought the whole bike was gonna snap.

Totally! Sometimes you just gotta get medieval on it.
