Rant: The old diner on Route 9 had a wall of photos that stopped me cold

I stopped for coffee there yesterday and saw a faded picture of a couple from 1947, just taped to the wall with a note saying 'Our first date'. It made me wonder how many stories in that place will just vanish when it closes... Has anyone else found a spot like that, where history is just quietly on display?

Ever feel like you're the last person who'll ever see something like that? It's a weird, sad feeling. Did you end up taking a picture of that photo, or did you just leave it there?

Saw a whole wall of old bowling league photos at a bar that's closing. Felt like watching a ghost town get paved over.

Did you take any pictures of the wall? I did that when my local diner closed. I got a shot of the old counter and the regulars' coffee mugs. It felt like saving a piece of it, even if just for myself. Now I keep those photos in a folder on my computer, and it's a better memory than just the empty building.

Wait, they just taped it up in 1947 and it's still there? That's wild.
