Spent $200 on a ceramic briquette set for my kamado and feel like it was a total waste of money compared to the stock charcoal grate.

The briquettes claimed to hold heat better but after 8 cooks they just fell apart into dust and my temp control got worse, has anyone else had better luck with those lava stone alternatives?

Companies always make you pay extra for stuff that just wears out faster than what you already had.

Honestly my friend bought a "premium" toaster and it died in 8 months, but her old $20 one from a garage sale is still kicking. Ngl they figure out how to make stuff that's just good enough to last past the return window.
