My offset smoker firebox door warped after 2 years, patch it or replace it?

We were doing a 14 hour brisket run last Saturday and the door started leaking so bad I couldn't hold 250 degrees, had to finish in the oven like a traitor. I'm torn between buying a new firebox for 180 bucks or trying to bend the door back with a sledge and some high-temp gasket... anyone else fixed a warped door or just bit the bullet?
