Took 6 weeks to notice my ACH cutoff times were an hour off in Dallas

After 6 weeks of rejected payroll transfers I finally caught that my bank's cutoff was 4pm not 5pm, and now I'm wondering how many other merchants are sitting on the same outdated cutoff sheet, has anyone else dealt with this from a third-party processor?

Laughing at myself because I once ran an entire payroll cycle on the wrong cutoff for two months and only figured it out when my accountant asked why everyone's direct deposit was mysteriously bouncing. Honestly, I think the real joke is on me for trusting that "updated" PDF the processor sent me without double-checking the timezone. Dallas is on central time, but apparently my bank's cutoff sheet was still living in some alternate universe where 4pm means 5pm. At least you caught it in six weeks, I was out here paying late fees like it was a hobby.

Check the cutoff times yourself before you trust any PDF. Banks change stuff without telling anyone, especially around DST. Saves you six weeks of pain.
