That $35 subscription that saved me from a massive overdraft fee
I signed up for the 3-buck-a-month overdraft alert from my credit union in Portland last year. Yesterday it pinged me at 2 AM that I had $12 left and a $40 E-ZPass charge was pending. I moved money from savings in time and avoided the $35 fee. Has anyone else found one of those tiny bank add-ons that actually pays for itself?

My credit union has a $2 round-up feature that moves spare change to savings, and that little thing saved me like $180 last year without me even noticing. It's funny how these tiny automatic habits end up doing more for your wallet than any big budgeting app I've ever tried lol. Sometimes the simplest tools really do the trick if you just set them and forget them.
