Remember when every backyard had a swing set? Saw a park in Omaha that made me think.
Took my kid to a park in Omaha last weekend, and the old metal swing sets are all gone, replaced by these big wooden play forts. Made me think about how my own yard just has a patchy lawn and a grill. What's the one thing you'd put in your yard if you were starting over?

Wait, they got rid of all the metal swings in Omaha? That's honestly kind of sad to hear. Those things were basically a rite of passage, even if they did burn your legs in the summer. A fire pit is a solid choice, but man, I'd miss the swings.

Is it weird that I used to want a super clean yard? I mean, I'd put in a fire pit now for sure. My neighbor has one and we end up hanging out there way more than I ever thought we would.
