I finally learned why my patio pavers kept sinking after only 3 months
Found out from a landscaping blog that I skipped the 4 inch gravel base and just laid them on dirt, which explains the constant shifting after every rain, has anyone else messed up the prep work this bad?

Yeah most people skip the boring part and pay for it later.

Right, because who wants to read the fine print when you can just sign and pray? I did that with a phone contract once, skipped the part about data caps, and ended up paying an extra $50 for watching too many cat videos. It's like ignoring the "do not eat" label on a bag of silica gel - seems fine until your stomach hurts and you're out $20 for a doctor visit. Everyone thinks they're the exception until the bill shows up.

Tbh, is it really that people are lazy or just that companies deliberately make the fine print impossible to read? Like, I swear some of those contracts use 8-point font and bury the bad stuff on page 14 between irrelevant legal jargon. If they wanted us to actually read it, they'd put "YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR BREATHING" in bold at the top. Or at least make the font size bigger than a flea's eyelash.
