After seeing erosion, I now believe some routes should stay secret.
Protecting trails means sometimes keeping them off the map.

Matthew's point about trail damage is spot on. Keithowens has the right idea with small groups, but the real problem is people going off trail to avoid mud or take photos. That kills plants and starts new paths. We need better signs showing where it's okay to step, not just asking people to stay on the main trail. It gives clear options instead of just a rule that gets ignored.
