Hot take: I dismissed startup incubators until one in Austin changed my business path
I always thought incubators were just hype for new founders with no real track record. Then I joined a program here last year and got hands on help with my SaaS pitch. The mentors pushed me to focus on a niche problem for local restaurants. Now my product is live and I see how structured support can actually work in this scene.

How did you even find that program? I had the same idea about incubators being all talk, so maybe I should look into that too.

Yeah, the 'all talk' thing is spot on. I looked into a few incubators and found that most of their 'mentorship' is just recycled advice from blogs. One program made us do weekly pitch practices but never actually introduced us to investors. It felt like a box-ticking exercise more than real help.

Wait, they made you do weekly pitches but never brought in a single investor? That's just busywork, not a real program. I'd be so mad if I spent all that time for nothing. No wonder you feel like it was all talk.

What problem are you trying to solve with an incubator?
