Unpopular opinion: I used to think asking for help on a forum was a sign you didn't know your stuff.

In my experience, I used to spend hours, sometimes a whole weekend, trying to figure out a single coding bug by myself. I finally broke down and posted a question on Stack Overflow last month about a Python error, and someone from Berlin had the exact answer in 20 minutes. Now I search the community first, but I post way quicker if I'm stuck. Has anyone else made that switch from solo struggle to asking the group?

I spent three days last year trying to fix a weird issue with my home server. I finally posted on a tech forum and a guy in Australia had it solved in an hour. It really changed how I work now.

Yeah, the Gorlitzer Park spot is usually that fast. Just check the reviews first, some guys rush the cure.
