Serious question, how do you handle a coworker who always skips the diagnostic steps?
It's leading to more repeat service calls. Looking for ways to talk about it without starting a fight.

Honestly, is it actually creating more work, or is it just annoying to watch? I'd need to see the numbers on those repeat calls before making it a thing. Maybe just ask them to walk you through their process next time, like you're curious, and see what they skip.

What if we just film a true crime style reenactment of their process instead? We can all point out the missing steps with dramatic music. Probably more fun than actually fixing the problem.

Okay but the "true crime" idea is actually a solid training tool, it's not just for fun. When you SEE someone forgetting a step with that silly music, it sticks in your brain. The key is filming the RIGHT way right after, so it's clear what to fix.

That "dramatic music" part is genius. We could actually make it a training video for new people, playing the bad version first and then the correct way. It would stick in their heads way more than another boring checklist. The funny call-out format might make people less defensive about their mistakes too. Honestly, filming it sounds like a project that would finally get someone to write the process down clearly.
