Compared meal prep Sunday vs just cooking every night for a month straight
I spent 4 hours every Sunday prepping containers of chicken and rice but dumped half of them by Wednesday because I got sick of eating the exact same thing. Cooking fresh meals each night took 30 minutes max and I actually finished my groceries without wasting 60 bucks of food - has anyone else found a better middle ground?

Yeah I feel that, "dumped half of them by Wednesday" hits too close to home. I tried the big Sunday prep thing and by Tuesday I was already grabbing fast food just to get a different taste. Now I just cook a little extra when I make dinner and eat the leftovers for lunch the next day, keeps things fresh enough that I don't waste anything.

Oh yeah @wade871 the leftovers for lunch trick is the only reason I still meal prep at all. I do it different now though - I cook 3 different proteins on Sunday like chicken, ground turkey, and some fish, plus 2 different veggies. Then I mix and match during the week so it doesn't feel like jail food. It takes about 2 hours total instead of 4 but I don't waste nearly as much. Also I freeze half of everything right away so by Thursday or Friday I've got options that aren't sad and mushy.
