I used to watch every new seasonal anime premiere, but now I just wait for the full season to finish and read the episode threads on Reddit first.

The change happened after I got burned by three shows in a row that started strong but had terrible endings, so now I check the final episode discussion to see if the payoff is worth the time before I start anything.

Totally get it! I do the same thing with movie reviews now. A quick skim of the final thoughts tells me if the ride is worth taking, no spoilers needed. Saves so much frustration.

Honestly, that's just smart. I see the same thing everywhere now, people waiting for the full story before they buy in. It's like we've all been trained by bad final seasons and rushed endings to just skip the hype. You're not just saving time, you're protecting your own good mood from being wrecked by a letdown.

Wait... you read the final episode thread first? That's like looking at the last page of a mystery novel before you even buy it. The whole point is the journey, man. What if someone just blurts out the big twist in the comments? You'd have the ending of a show like Attack on Titan or Made in Abyss completely ruined before you even see the opening credits.
