Honestly, I think the whole 'sub vs dub' debate misses the point completely

Tbh, I tried rewatching a classic series, 'Cowboy Bebop', with the English dub last weekend because everyone online says it's the only way to go. Ngl, it just didn't click for me this time. The voices felt a bit off, especially Spike's, and I found myself missing the original Japanese track after just two episodes. I switched back to subs and enjoyed it way more. I know it's a super popular opinion that the dub is better, but I think people get too hung up on picking a side. A good show is a good show, and sometimes the 'best' version is just the one you connect with. Has anyone else had a show where they went against the popular voice track choice and preferred it?

I always thought the Bebop dub was perfect until I rewatched it too.

Watch it in Japanese with subs, like @dakota415 probably should.
