Bought a fancy air fryer accessory kit and regretted it fast

I dropped $40 on a silicone liner set and a bunch of little racks for my air fryer (you know, the ones that promise extra layers). After two uses the silicone smelled like burnt plastic and the racks bent out of shape, so now I just use plain foil. Anyone else waste cash on those add-on packs that sounded great but flopped?

it's funny how we all fall for the "buy your way to convenience" trap and end up right back where we started with the cheap simple fix. guess that's just how it goes with most kitchen gadgets.

Ask @dakotab93 if they think the markup on those "fancy" air fryer kits is worse than the markup on the actual machine itself. Cause I've noticed the air fryer was already a pretty okay deal, but those add-on packs feel like they're charging you $15 for a piece of bent aluminum and a sheet of rubber. Like who actually tested those silicone liners before they hit the shelves? Had to be nobody who cooks. Makes me wonder if the whole accessory market is just a hustle for people who already dropped cash on the gadget itself.

Honestly those silicone liners are the worst, mine slid right off the basket and burned onto the heating element.
