TIL that meal prepping actually saves me money and I was a fool for avoiding it

Honestly, I spent like 5 years thinking meal prepping was just for gym bros who eat chicken and rice every day. I figured it would be boring and I'd end up throwing food away. But then last month I looked at my bank account and saw I was dropping $50 a week on lunch from the sandwich shop near my office. So I gave it a shot, bought a bunch of containers from the grocery store for $12, and made 5 lunches in one Sunday. It took me about 2 hours to chop veggies and cook some ground turkey and rice. Now I'm saving roughly $200 a month just by eating the same stir fry for a few days. The trick was I found a sauce recipe I actually like so it doesn't feel like punishment. Has anyone else been stubborn about meal prepping and finally caved?

Ha, right? I was the exact same way until I finally caved last year. Now I feel kind of dumb for waiting so long.

Had a friend who swore she'd never meal prep because she thought it meant eating sad cold salads all week. She finally tried it last month and now she's texting me pics of her neatly stacked containers like she won some kind of award.

Ever think she's just excited she proved herself wrong? I get that meal prepping looks like you're signing up for a week of cold sad food, but once you figure out what actually heats up well it's more like having your own little fridge of options. Good for her, honestly, being that stubborn about a thing and then coming around on it takes guts even if it's just about food.

So what did she finally discover that actually heats up well?
