Pro tip: I scheduled a 'meeting with myself' on my work calendar to get through my personal to-do list.

It backfired when my boss saw the block and asked for a full report on what 'Project Homefront' was, forcing me to make up deliverables for cleaning my gutters. Anyone have a better system for protecting personal time from work creep?

Honestly, why do you have to hide it at all? I just put "personal appointment" or "errands" on my shared calendar and leave it at that. If someone asks, I say it's a private matter. It's not their business if I'm at the dentist or cleaning my gutters. Making up fake project names just invites more questions.

Fake names are just easier sometimes, keeps the nosy ones from prying.

Yeah, "private matter" is the perfect way to shut it down.
